Drawbars can replace standard F or E couplers, reducing slack, reducing weight and eliminating coupler pull-outs. Drawbar designs can be used with conventional yokes and draftgears as well as with specially designed shorter yokes and gears. In addition, McConway & Torley has slackless drawbar designs that use a wear compensating elastomeric wedge to control slack.
